Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

I just got the train into the centre and went to a Nuffield Gym about 2km from New St. Did a good job of using a few hours up ‘constructively’. Last time I wondered around the shops bored out of my skull.

You got a link for the Peg36s?
I can’t find them.

RE: the turbo 2 version with ZoomX sole.
I had a pair for 50km and sent them back.
For that price, I was expecting 4% levels of comfort and spring, but it just wasn’t there

I used my birthday money … well my mum gave me £50 of Halfords vouchers for some reason?! I never shop in Halfords, so absolutely no idea why she did that. So i’ll have to do some journalling of funds from one ledger to another for me new pink beauties!

They’ve just arrived at home as well. So will take them out for a spin tomorrow as going off road tonight.

How effing old are you???
I am lucky if I get a phone call!

When did you order yours?
Whenever I order anything from Nike, it has a habit of not arriving on the day they state

I got rather lucky this past year. I always got something for birthdays/Christmas, but for example the most my mum was able to afford when I was at uni would be putting some milk in the fridge if she came to visit. I had no parental financial support through that period, and had saved myself since the age of 13.

But this year she got some inheritance (obviously the root cause of that was not great), and has treated me a little bit. She bought me a bike box alan ahead of Nice, and I got the big Huub travel bag for Christmas. I was able to give her a £40 voucher code towards that, but still, it was a luxury item I’d never normally justify buying myself but something that will definitely be useful.

Cold hard cash for me as well, and it’s been index linked in recent years :joy:

I’m 54 and my Mum gave me £50 for Xmas on top of some other pressies. Mind you, my sister and I bought her £630 worth of carpet for Xmas, so I’m not exactly up on the deal.

Yeah still get Christmas money and bday money. I’m not complaining!

My wife and I both used our money from her folks (not vouchers!) to buy a family annual pass to Paignton Zoo! How times have changed!

Back when I did get money from my folks for my birthday, it generally ended up behind the bar a couple of hours later! I dont get it now, but I imagine if I did it would end up on an annual pass or similar, as you say times change!

The most dangerous animals at Paignton Zoo are the Seagulls!

Is the Noah’s Ark pub still open next to the zoo?
