I’m probs 72/73 kgs and 175cm.
So a classic med maybe?

My zone 3 is 6 years old now!
I’ve got a med. 180cm. 68kg (on zwift ).
Just seen the local lake is finally opening this weekend. Cheeky buggers have out the price up by a pound though!
Bit of OW coaching with a random chap off t’internet.
He was very positive… The video of my breathing/sighting is what I’d expect @fruit_thief to look like if he was cast in the next Meg film. The look of intense fear was somewhat overdramatic.
i din’t think it looked even that good…
Another good @mw22 swim today…
Lots of blue jellyfish in the North Cornish sea today. No stings but I did stop dead in my tracks a few times to avoid them!
After his ride???
Surely he was tired?
Anyways … my local lake now has compulsory tow
Floats
So many rules now.
I remember turning up, paying a fiver, swim, shower, go home.
No showers anymore either.
tow floats compulsory here too…unless i’m doing one to one filming…
Why?
“Safety” reasons?
Or insurance purposes?
Tow floats are only required at ours if you’re swimming skins which I kind of get but they’re not needed with a wettie on!
The only thing that annoys me with a tow float, other than it being the thing I always forget to take with my, is when it’s a bit breezy and it overtakes you.
Other than that, bit like a bike helmet, don’t really notice it once I’m in and swimming.
Doesn’t seem to help keep the paddle boarders from targeting you tho!
Meh, no rules in the river! Although the float is a good idea to stop idiots like paddle boarders and boats from killing you.
And it’s somewhere to put the car keys!
Absolutely agree.
And if I was swimming solo, I’d probably use one.
But if I’m paying for a session, I’d expect there to be guards and spotters watching people and ensuring nobody was drowning
And I still can’t believe paddle boarders are allowed at the same time as swimming at @mw22 place
Paddle boards, pedalos and had some bloke following me around in a kayak shouting at me the last 2 weeks
I don’t mind for the most part, but you can tell the complete noobs who have literally no control whatsoever.
You could have rolled his kayak
He’d have made him walk the plank
I’m surprised he doesn’t use SONR swim comms. I hear they’re very good for coaching
not shouting enough obviously
Possibly…they have a time and a place…
Arguably we are working on awareness in the water and the athlete’s ability to problem solve…
