I bought a coffee mug at IM Wales expo before I’d done the race in 2015 and ended up in hospital. Thought that was bad enough!

I bought a Hamburg baseball cap at the expo and wore it before the race. Then wondered if I’d jinxed it 
They took the expo down last night. Often it’s open on Monday at many Ironmans, so people can buy loads if they finished!
Perfetto Light is one of the best bits of cycle clothing out there. Not run more than an early/late season Sprint in one though. Was the weather that bad to run a marathon in it then?
I bought an IMCH tee as it had my name on it. Thought why not? Dnf’ed the next day. It’s been given to Wheezy Junior.
After Wales in 2017, my Mum and I went to the expo as she wanted to buy me something to celebrate. We went there and the queues were huge but I picked out something from the Finishers stuff ( a light jacket) and stood in the queue.
I was very sore, my Mum suggested I go to a cafe or back to the hotel and wait and she would pay etc. I was concerned they wouldn’t sell it to her without a wristband from a finisher, so I asked one of the staff is that was ok, he said:
“As long as she can pay for it, we don’t care”,
Which kinda brought be back to Earth
