Is that a joke or real? My mate is there and was in smoking bike form but his foot is fkd and he was prob not gonna run.

Going to try and crack out a close to 3 hour time 
I start at 10am.
Also, thereās been reports of fallen trees and standing water on the course. Itās quite windy and exposed in Lincolnshire (40 miles from HPP), where the far end of the bike course is.
It is cold and windy here at HPP and people only have sleeveless trisuits
To save people being ferried around in foil blankets and ambulances, I believe the correct call was taken.

Itās the right decision but it should have been made yesterday. It was peeing down at lunchtime and the roads were already flooding in places. With the forecast suggesting it was only going to get worse I really donāt know why a decision had to be made after the swim had started this morning. Then to have to hang around for 3 hours before starting the marathon behind all the biffers was daft so home I came. Expensive swim sessionā¦

Oh right, they made the decision after theyād sent people off on the swim? Yeah, thatās proper rubbish. That just smacks of crossing your fingers and hoping for miracles in the space of 40mins which is obviously never going to happen.

Completely agree. Canāt do anything about the weather and if its unsafe to bike so be it. But need to then make the most of it, should have made the decision pre-swim and ideally kept it continuous.
Happy to be corrected but canāt think of any compelling reason why not, so seems hard not to lose a bit of trust/respect in OSB putting on great events?
Sounds like a mess.
Surely they knew before the swim that they would make the decision.
Any value in getting the race started, in terms of refunds?
