I saw that
I fell over at around 25-30km on the slippy canal path overtaking someone, it was cold and wet.
My muscles just cramped and I couldn’t get going again.
Never mind I hadn’t done any long runs or rides or swims and entered on a whim
So…since coming back in 2019, I’ve been wearing socks for the bike and run in anything longer than a couple of hours…but…
…with that huge transition and wet weather, I’ll have to change them twice.
And that’s 60-90 seconds I could be doing with elsewhere
Also debating my Pippy Longstocking’s (knee length compression socks) over anklets. But they take about two minutes to get on…but they have a huge placebo effect (as do the compression shorts I’m wearing)
I did a 30km without them and in Next% and my legs were trashed compared to with them and Alpha’s
