I know John was the most different parkruns done a few years back, dunno if he still is, although there can’t be many nearing 500, Danny was also in my club, and I think he’s second in most done?
Not sure about names, was looking at this chart. Over 800 events for the leader so I’m guessing they were a regular at Bushy for the early years. That must be 16 years of parkrunning on a Saturday at 9am, surely some must have been hungover
Seems like a good way to increase your carbon footprint
I can hear Greta crying now
whats with the “norman club”, “super-normal club”, “re-freyne club” etc? (bar on the right)
Paul Freyne was the first to 250 different events.
Danny Norman was the first to 250 parkruns and 100 different events.
The re- and super are just those but more.
Trying to find a way to do the parkrun tomorrow and not miss the bus then flight
Bus goes at 10:10 and the park is about 6k but has a metro line. I’d need to check out early and stash my luggage!
I think they start at 9am sharp here so deffo not a race for Adam
Going to do a test run of the return journey in a few minutes.
Not sure I fancy an Uber to the airport as usual for Bryanair it’s actually about 40 miles from Milan
Given your recent experiences, do you really think this is a sensible plan?
Haha, yeah my brain is weighing up the options
Technically I could run from the park in under 30 minutes, so it depends on the luggage situation.
I won’t get a shower but on the plus side I might get a seat to myself
In other news, my local event at home that’s been going for about 14 years has cancelled tomorrow due to lack of volunteers and another smaller event is probably calling it today.
The event regularly gets 350+ people and I don’t know why people can’t do the 1 in 10 volunteering.
Fairly sure the coronation is a factor but Middlesbrough isn’t exactly the hotbed of royal support!
Although for a fairly simple course I think they use too many people tbh.
I would advise people to sign up for the volunteer mail feed. I do this and it usually comes out on Tues or Wed with a rolling roster. One of the good things about it is that if you are injured or something, it’s a prompt that you can do something.
Without that reminder, I probably think about it so regularly.
So … the drugs work
Felt like I could finally breathe today.
Managed a 20:33 and reckon I could’ve been a bit faster had I not given up on the hills
Same stupid splits as usual, but hey-ho.
After being mocked by @mw22 elsewhere, it turns out I could do his local parkrun next weekend …
I was merely wondering if you had fast drying paint
I’m injured anyway…
Pretty sure breathing at just 60% is classed as
“Injured” too?
Anyways, you’re always injured!!!
Markeaton (Derby) is slowAF, so was gonna try Long Eaton to compare that to Stretford
Although 19mins at Stretford usually gets a Top 10, think it’s about 30th at Long Eaton?
Ran with the 32.0 pacer today in the middle of a 29km session. Mrs FP and LO wisely stayed at home!
Yes, yes I am. But I physically couldn’t run outside last week. Not sure running a sub 20 is good rehab.
Slow one today…19 almost a top 10. Sometimes you’d be closer to 50th.
Anyone had their official result through yet?
No text or email from Parkrun but I know Bushy have had a few issues recently.
Despite the drizzle the conditions were pretty decent today, noticeably no wind for a change - I just cruised round - workout 1 / 3 completed
Global issue apparently. Our locals just put a post up.
yeah nothing here
I just got a text!
They’ve added 13 seconds to my time
