Parkrun

Thanks Anna. I’m never worried about her running usually but she was hitting some high notes on Saturday.

Cheers Matt. Not sure I’ll see another PB but there’s plenty more to come for LO :crossed_fingers:

Wet wet wet here but I managed to get out. Thought I was over the lurgy but swimming Monday pm absolutely knocked me out so I’ve rested until today.

Bloody hard work, first run in about five weeks and it showed. 170 bpm for 4:50 km pace! Saw 189bpm too at one point.

Onwards and upwards…

Despite being a trail mine was a lot drier than I expected and others given the small turnout. I didn’t need the wildhorse shoes

Tough going, I’m wheezing now it’s getting cold and damp and only 5 days since giving blood.

But fairly happy with something like 22:30 under the circumstances.

If I’m gonna be slow, may as well have some fun!

Super wet, and 'cos I was pacing I had to run through it. 19:51, so crap pacing as always.

Good work chaps. No event today at Winchester as the ground is used for the megasooperdooper fireworks rip off, err display.

Did you slow down towards the end, I counted how long it took me to get to 2km spot after I saw you cross it, and either I counted really quickly or you were well up. God knows why I didn’t just look at my watch

It was good training for the XC I’m doing tomorrow!

I was about 15 seconds up at the base of the hill on the second lap, the woman the and the guy I was (sort-of) pacing up to that point left me at about 4.2km and finished in 19:30, but they definitely kicked on. So I don’t think I was that up at 2km, although I always pace a more relaxed hill than most pacers, just 'cos I hate hills…

Anyone done the Reigate parkrun? more of a cross country run.

Ran with Mrs FP and LO this morning. Very muddy at Winch and the grounds was chewed up by the trucks carrying the firework dis[lay stuff last week.

Ran easy for half of it with Mrs FP and then LO and I upped the pace a bit. No official times yet but I had 26.21, so LO would have been approx 26.10

Probably a bit late with my reply here (seeing as though it’s now Sunday) but yes, I’ve done it. Ran on a lovely dry day there earlier this year - it’s mostly grass and trail with a couple of short sharp climbs. Lovely course when it’s dry. I’d not be too keen in this weather unless I had a pair of trail shoes on that’s for sure,

I’m going to try and branch out and get a bit of tourism in. Out of my 79 completed parkruns 62 of them have been at Bushy. Kind of spoilt for choice but I’ve not even done Kingston!

I think Wimbledon and Richmond park are on the original 10 list.

Pretty sure Wimbledon was the second event

Good news, you’re probably safe from sharks :shark: :grinning:

Bad news, you might not be safe from Russian subs :grimacing::joy:
