Parkrun

Good work @wheezy and everyone else.

No run for Winchester today because it’s the big firework show later. I have my night race at 5.30, nervous!

I helped at ours, despite the rain it was still fairly good underfoot. Looks like most of the quick runners went elsewhere though, haven’t seen the results yet but I’d be surprised if the front two broke 20 minutes.

Edit: I was very wrong, 18:58 for the first home! He didn’t seem to be going so quick, but third was 21.

And another new one started just up the road this weekend, that’s about 3 in 5 weeks, I’ve got some travelling to do :joy: (when I can run again )

Richmond Park, today, with my dad. 24ish for me. Another slow start and a hillier course, but a very pretty morning.

Did my local one (Bognor) as per usual. I’m only running once a week now (parkrun) after pulling/straining/something my achiles at the end of September.

Just under 25 minutes today. Happy with that.

Kingston ParkRun, this morning. 22:23, so a comeback pb, which is nice. Pushed it a little from the start and tried to keep it tempo-ish. This was number 49, so the plan is to head to my home PR at Bushy Park, next week.

Got carried away. Just under 23 minutes today. No ill effects so pleased with that.

Marshalled again, my 40th time but got 43 volunteer credits :man_shrugging:t2:

Was a bit busier as a local one had been cancelled so they rushed to us!

Very muddy and soggy Taunton parkrun this morning. Waded round in about 21 mins. Going to take longer than that to clean the bath.

More marshalling this morning, quite a low turnout though at 77 people and pacers week. Nobody particularly fast either, the 20 minute pacer was first home and next person was about 30 seconds behind. Got a feeling a few people might have been resting as it’s Leeds 10K tomorrow which is very popular as it is a quick route.

They’re aiming to have an event on NYD and trying to recruit volunteers already as they’re expecting a lot of people starting their health kick

I was hoping to jog around but apathy and weather tipped me over CBA edge.

Too many consecutive posts in the Holiday thread so, seeing as we did go for a run in a park, I am posting it here

More volunteering this morning, about 4 weeks on the trot! It was a decent day as well, mild for December with no wind but a bit sloppy in places.

Another quiet day, I think a lot of the faster people don’t like the mud! Won overall by a JW11-14 although she looks older and came home in about 20:40, I wouldn’t run that at the moment but not far off with a bit of effort and fitness. She was about 30 seconds ahead of second as well and is going to be a good runner.
