He’s a very articulate guy, and his videos are professional. I just think his approach to all this is ill conceived, and he will reap the disbenefits of his ‘habits’ when he retreats to private life…

This must not be the car thread … I completely agree.

Don’t forget some of these people are selling TRT, some are on it ( and more ) but a few seem like decent fitness gurus and their “ content “ is mostly decent and sensible otherwise.

Anti depressants often make problems worse .. much worse in my experience, I guess if you actually are going to top yourself this week then go for it ( the tablets ) or have stage 4 cancer like two of my friends then why not

Everybody else as you say a very slippery slope

I was 57 on New Year’s Day ( started dry Jan .. no problem !) lol

No “ low test “ problems as yet.. if I was tested and it was low I would probably still give it a miss as I’m happy and functioning normally for a guy of my age

I’ll be in Thailand in the next 6? Weeks I might get the test there ? Just to see.

I agree with all you have said, and wouldn’t knock anyone for taking it ( unless they competed in a sport) .. it’s only effecting you unless you start having violent melt downs which is rare I’m guessing I really don’t think this is going away in fact I think it will get bigger.

A lot bigger

Re Mark Lewis, I think some of the dislike he gets probably comes from the personality he portrays. Eating Disorders/Dis-orderd eating are no joke which I know is something I believe he suffers with.

Moving on to the TRT, I’d sooner go on to TRT than anti depressants. TRT is cheaper than therapy! I’m not saying T is a better option however. While this is largely a sports based forum, I think you potentially have to divide the two opinions. General TRT use and TRT when your competing at the pointy end of competitions, and what or where the definition of pointy end is up for debate. Given the symptoms of low T I’d never knock anyone for going that route, but I’d also hope they had also covered the basics first, sleep, diet, training.

Out of curiosity and not just from this thread, I’ve booked myself for a through blood panel. No I don’t plan to go on TRT if my mine is low! However I am curious what my levels are, along with Iron, Vit D and cortisol levels (probably high  )

I don’t think there’s much debate if it’s a sport that falls within the IOC/ADA code.

I actually quite like his videos, and do have small amount of envy, actually not envy as I dont envy people, but yer that country lifestyle miles from anyone on a nice chunk or unkempt land is appealing. (although his comment on difficulty running makes sense)

so many natural T boosters out there, even if its from a supp.

Mark Lewis is posting far less to YouTube, but his wife is posting far more. Mostly innuendo laden life on the farm stuff.

Pretty high % of the male BBC gladiators look unnaturally large. Thoughts?

I think it’s just tight shorts - maybe socks - but I don’t look too closely myself?

Well, they’re no longer in the testing pool for whatever sport they came from. And their job requires them to be big MFs. The former sprinter (Nitro) was always that shape though. I guess look for the usuals for physique PEDs: excessive traps, tren tan, bubble gut, tiny tadger

Forget it. Turns out I was totally wrong and they are all natural and BBC is diligently testing them all…..

Giant:

“‘I stopped competing as a bodybuilder in October 2022 and responsibly came off steroids.

‘I am no longer a professional bodybuilder and am no longer taking steroids and do not advocate the use of them.’“

For Steroids, read Tren, Deca, D-bol; a bit of T to keep me ticking along is OK.

Well thats my bloods taken, should have some results Friday or Saturday. Finger prick tests by all accounts aren’t terribly accurate, the nurse taking my bloods also said this.

Was this an NHS test or something you’ve done privately?

Privately. While I currently have some disposable income, this threaded prompted my curiosity.

They seem to be the best option out there, again the independent nurse said they are who she uses. There is a 10% discount code floating around.

Will be interested to see if you find the results useful. Something I’ve been considering but haven’t got round to it yet.
