Someone I know on a summer’s day chose a 10-12 mile diversion to a pub lunch as the car had 4 people in it and he was concerned about the lack of power getting up a 1/4 mile stretch of a 10% hill - odd

When I worked for Oracle in Sydney, we had a secondee from the US office (California), she used to sit next to me and had been with us for about 3mths, when she turned and said:

Reminds me of once when I phoned to a showroom to arrange to view a 2nd hand car, I asked if the showroom was on the east or west side of the dual carraigeway and the response was “Where are you coming from?”, I said “From the north” and their answer was “We’re on the East”
