Pro cycling 2021 season

Really happy for MvdP and Tao today. Me and the 4 dogs got a bit loud. Okay I got very loud, they joined in.

This sounds like it would be a really good read. I’m assuming he’s popular enough for them to make an English translation soon.

Yes, says he’s got Rheumatoid Arthritis (at 33). The G\F has got it, and someone else I know of and it’s not nice at all, hopefully he might not get it too bad but it will be a big shock for someone used to being so active.

Bit of a sad end to a good career.

What a performance that was to beat 3 members from the same team.

Not again for Roglic?

Edit - no

SPOILER?!

Seriously if you have spoiled this stage which I was looking forward to watching later, I will have a proper rant at the wall!!!

Wasn’t sure where else to go with it as it had been done with the Giro before :frowning:

I had no idea that existed, clearly need to have young people in the house to teach me these tech things

young people don’t use forums.

…and what a stacked top 10 from that day!

So Cav back to DQS. Seems an intriguing move. He obviously had a lot of success there in the past, but with the current best sprinter on their books already, it doesn’t seem immediately obvious what role he’d fulfill, or what opportunities to be the main man he’ll be given

Maybe it’s a mentoring role, whilst giving Cav another year or two before he goes out to pasture?

I did not think he would pick up another contract. To get one with the wolf pack (and back on a spesh tarmac!) is big news for Mark. Good on him.

I think he fancies himself at the classics.

Anyone remember the days when cyclists would “take some time off”, when it was really just a cover for an anti-doping violation that was being hushed up?

What are you hinting at Jim?

Well that’s a coincidence indeed!

If it is entirely above board, absolutely terrible by the jumbo management to have no idea it was coming and announce Dumoulin was going to be racing the tour etc. the day before, and even then it seems remarkably quick public turnaround from “what, actually I don’t want this, let’s announce it to the press!” if it was the announcing that made him realise it wasn’t what he wanted.
