Those four blokes deserve a bonus.

Blimmin heck. That nearly fell apart

Of course I dropped Asgreen a week or two ago too

Asgreen owes his 3 mates & JA/Declerq a pint.

Good stage for me; I have Asgreen & Pederson as joker in 5th.

Great finish, I had Philipsen as joker but with his earlier antics I’m glad he didn’t win

I know it’s childish but I think he should create his own chamois cream.

I thought that. With only a few km to go they nearly lost it, but then seemed to get their heads in gear and carried on with the through and off. Absolutely great to see.

Great stage

Love it when the break sticks.

From memory he claimed to have done some aero testing on wheels using his company’s (Airbus?) wind tunnel. The results were a bit sketchy and went against a lot of perceived wisdom and he got very tetchy when questioned on any of it.

It will have been a HSWT then, which is not appropriate for bike components. Unless of course, you can ride at 400kts.

I always suspected he’d never done it at all. It’s not like using your company’s photocopier/printer for a few pages of your driving license or travel docs. It must cost thousands to run and I’m sure they don’t just let you turn it back on after everyone has gone home.
ETA - I’ve just tried to find it but have a feeling it got quite nasty with people contacting his employer so it was taken down.

Found this on his own site with a letter and comments from Flo.
If I remember correctly they came out of the test terribly (when were generally considered good and tested well previously) and there are a lot of Flo fanboys on ST.

Shame for Poliit there; he was a good strong rider for the break.

I have Pederson again today. So I’ll be rooting for the break

The shimano bikes were comical for him

Someone is going to launch on that Cat 3. JA, Benoot, MvdP, Trentin? Actually not MvdP, because he’ll have to work for Phillipsen?

I think if they get a good gap, the Sprinters are going to struggle to organise a solid chase; especially if that group of 26 really splinters. I think the Cat 3 will animate it.

Asgreen & Campanaerts again

ETA - maybe not!

Pederson was keen to jump them on the climb; shame it didn’t work.

Surely Mohoric doesn’t think it’s wise to jump the other 2 this far out?! I just don’t want to see Phillipsen get a shot.

Asgreen still there. I knew there was a reason I chose them originally. Teaches me for being so fickle and dropping them!

No one wants to take Phillipsen to the finish, except MvdP. Tbh if I was MvdP, I’d be like ā€œstuff you, with your 4 stage wins alreadyā€.

Phillipsen seems to be on his radio a lot; a high maintenance guy.
