There are many ways to value assets and all are accurate, even if they give different results
Estimated current value is not the same as market value, or even a fair value.

I found this article… Chris Froome is on €5.5m apparently. A deal signed after he smashed every bone in his body. I don’t think he’s even featured in a race since he moved to IPT.

I think Total Energies sank so much of their budget into signing Sagan that it pissed off all the other riders and staff. IPT must be similar with Froome, now Bora with Roglic.

Yes, I found it bizarre Froome was the highest paid rider; he’s practically retired no?
If you look at Michael Jordan, his earnings nosed dived in his final few seasons after he left the Bulls and their three-peat of Championships. He went from £33m in 97/98, took a 2 season break, then £1m/year for his last 2 seasons with Washington before retiring. Although I doubt he GAF, because of the licensing deals.

I guess IPT were taking a punt on him being able to get back to the form they won him 7(?) grand tours?
Was it 2022 that he was in a breakaway that stayed away in the Tour? That’s the only time I remember him being visible in a race since his crash.

Yeah he was third on the stage Pidcock won on Alpe du Huez.
Undoubtedly a terrible decision by Israel, they’ll be very relieved to get that contract off their books!

Still 2 years left on Froome’s contract. Sylvain Adams apparently not impressed at Froome’s form since joining but F all he can do about the contract.
