Pro Cycling Live - will contain spoilers

About the only hope is that Pog is a bit tired, Vin is only half fit. The rest at least start the race thinking they have a chance and we get an exciting 1st week.

Is Bernal going to race/feature at all? Haven’t been following his progress since his big crash.

Have you seen the first week parcours? :mount_fuji:

3 x 200km stages to open up, then Galibier on Day 4.

Two flat ~180km stages to recover, then a time trial :exploding_head:

There’s only one leader after that week.

First two stages look like random punchuer days. Monument-ish. (4000m on Day 1!!!)
Day 3 is sprinters.
Day 4 is Pog.
Day 5 and 6 are sprinters.
Day 7 is Ganna.
Day 8? Sprinters.
Day 9? Breakaway.

He had an OK Paris-Nice, won a stage? But think Rodrigues will be Ineos main GC rider.

Are we on the same planet?

No.

The camera will pointlessly give him airtime. And a bit more when he drops off the back.

UAE 1, 2 & 3

Roglic will crash and either withdraw or lose a shedload of time
Jonas won’t have raced even if he makes it to the start. Can’t see him lasting 3 weeks.
Remco will put up a good fight but will end up shipping time in the high mountains.

Anyone else is struggling for the top ten.

Remco destroyed the ITT yesterday.
Roglic looked awful - all over the place, he looked worse on a TT bike than a Schleck or Bardet :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I’d love to see to Bernal or C-Rod putting up a podium challenge but I think top ten would be a decent result for either of them. Top five would be tremendous.

Pog is apparently discussing a new contract with UAE, ÂŁ8m a year to 2030.

Astana supposed to be in talks with someone from China, would make them one of the top 3 richest teams.

Critérium du Dauphiné
Race neutralised

14:44

Given the crash which took place in the peloton and the shortage of ambulances, race organisers decided to neutralize stage 5. The riders will go to the finish line under the escort of the Garde Republicaine: “The race is neutralized, there will not be times taken at the finish and no winner in this stage,” organisers said.

:fearful:

The Tour becomes even more of a Pog-fest if Remco and Rog have damaged themselves in the crash
:frowning:

Compared to the Eurosport clips, that gives much more of an idea of the speed at which the crashes happened.

Nasty.

So
 Remco inevitably imploded.
Roglic looks a tiny bit better.
The new Geeee is quite good, and Lease-a-Rider’s Jorgensen looked like good fodder for Vingegaard.
The end.

Yates out of Jayco next year, they’ve lined up O’Connor as a replacement.

Apparently Ineos not interested, which seems slightly odd. Thought he’d give a British and experienced presence to take over the G role.

Ineos won’t take Simon Yates because of his drug ban he had. Even though it was just a TUE mix up by the team.
