Surfed the wheels, made his way through and power to finish it off. Incredible

Most of them probably grew up watching Cav win sprint stages in the Tour! It’s 16 years since his first win :flushed:

Looks like he may have snapped his chain on the run in with the power he was putting down!

Just embarrassed my wife shouting my head off on the campsite.

Brilliant.

Vintage Cav, surfing and going. Uphill sprint as well which was never really his forte.

On the Eurosport coverage Adam Blythe said it was common for the chains to bounce off when suddenly going from 1400w to 0. Not a problem I have…
They showed it in the slo mo too.

Amazing, that’s why cycling hits the emotions different than other sports.

Incredible. Another great example of his ability to jump trains during the sprint. His awareness and bike handling at that speed is amazing. :ok_hand:

Bit late but get in, pleased for him, will try and catch it when I get in.

When I saw 30 unread posts I guessed he might have done it :+1:

Just watched the sprint - great stuff for Cav but an honourable mention to the Confidis rider bunny hopping someone who stacked it into the barrier!

It was Pedersen who crashed.

Great bunny hop though

How did Pog avoided crashing early on? Bike handling at its best

Just watched the last 3K, textbook stuff from Cav showing his years of experience doing that on his own if plan A failed with a leadout train.

Good going at 39, and between him and the likes of Jimmy it shows that if you look after yourself you can still compete at the top long after when people thought you were over the hill years ago.

Also, watched a repeat of the 2012 Paris sprint when Froome, then Wiggins we’re part of the train with 3K to go :sunglasses:

Bloody hell has David Miller taken on an up hill paper round in the last year or so? He looks significantly older than I recall.
