Disappointing that the finish town yesterday had tsrmacād a new bit of road over the middle of each of the roundabouts on the run-in to the finish. No spectacle of the bunch splitting either side of the roundabout

They were quite tight there. Iām sure in the bigger towns they wonāt be doing the same. The villager fallout with the mayor ripping up the grass and flowers wouldāve been interesting to watch

Theyāre not fools. Even if Cav never attained his ā35ā, his retirement pics would still all be in Astana kit.
Donāt trust vino either but Iād guess that no matter how much Cav wanted the 35th win, he wouldnāt jeopardise everything for it.

Finally caught up on yesterday, had a lot on and for some reason got the impression it was a rest day. Great result for my guy Groene!
I though Cav was allowed to draft cars after a mechanical but heās lost ten jersey points.
Wondering how today will go

Youāre not really allowed to draft the cars. They usually turn a blind eye if the rider is coming back from a puncture or mechanical but riders donāt draft their own cars.
The magic spanner is another option, with the mechanic hanging out of the window and adjusting saddle height while the DS drives at 80km h
