Here we go…
Someone needs to have a word with Alex Zingle ![]()
I bet he’s got them at 120psi, too.
So about half of the teams used 32mm and half of them stuck with 28mm ![]()
So what is Küng on about ![]()
![]()
28mm tyres are a revelation on the road.
If I go back to my 25mm ones, it’s awful. Pure hatred.
It meant I won the stage on FTdF ![]()
I’m stuck on 23mm as my bike/wheels can’t cope with anything wider
Question is, what was Vingegaard riding, apart from his teammates bike.
And no sour grapes from me… ![]()

Same here on my tri bike - imho it’s more about saying wider tyres can be okay than saying narrow tyres are bad. So you’re not losing speed only, maybe, comfort.
As a asid: People have put way too much faith into bicycle rolling resistance dot com.
His own race. Conserving energy instead of having fun / being a tit (delete as appropriate)
He played it well yesterday.
I see him as a “Mr Burns” type character ![]()
Stage 10 looks like an utter snoozefest!
11 looks nice and hilly. 4350m, but no HC climbs.
12 is lumpy, but downhill.
13 is Pau. Again. ![]()
14 is madness. Tourmalet.
15 is more mountain madness at 5000m ![]()
So three sprint stages (10, 12 and 13)
One breakaway (11)
And Vings time to attack (15. He will just follow on 14)
Final three stages (Embrun, Nice hills, Nice TT) also look mad!!!
Seems Wiggins is on Lance Armstrong podcast all week. As in, flown over to America to do it.
I know he’s skint, but interesting company to keep.

Money is money.
He’s a strange character.
Phwooar, just caught up on the Troyes stage on ITV. What an absolute stoater it was
.
Not sure Boulting & Millar were fans of the gravel initially, bandying around words like “folly” & “mockery”
.
Any drop outs over rest day?
Le tour website doesn’t mention Pedersen leaving for example.
Vlasov is out with an ankle injury from Sunday’s stage.
I don’t think there’s anyone else out
Nothing to do with a fairly obvious concussion then
?
broken I believe
That’ll tape back together

Oooh, just looked at Wednesday’s stage.
I’ve ridden the final 4 cols in the same order on the Raid du Massif Central (and a fifth that the pros are clearly too weak to take on
).
That was a tough morning, might post some pics. … the Pas de Peyrol is going to see some action I reckon ![]()
