He completed it ( + an extra 100m if Strava is believed) - average pace 1:19.
Fairly sure he was in a 33m pool if memory serves me right, so not sure how/why they’ve done an extra rep.

If it really is a 33m pool then he is still 101m short of 20k. Should have done another extra rep…

Haha good spot, this is what happens when people try to swim 20km and don’t run their plans via the TriTalk maths thread first. I mean, we’re providing a free service here, why wouldn’t someone use it? :grinning:

He needs to do another 3 lengths, but then technically he’s still 2 metres short so perhaps needs to at least push off from the wall after rep 202. TBH, best swim a 203rd just to be safe.

Wait… Richie Porte the cyclist? Ok, wow, that’s impressive. Just realised what thread this is.

Yup. That’s the one.

I think it’s Richie Porte the former elite junior triathlete?

didn’t know that - interesting :+1:

MvdP turns up to his first CX of the season & all the riders I’ve been admiring for the close battles they’ve been having for the last couple of months are fighting for 2nd place within the first couple of minutes.

Commentators nightmare.

Awesome race to watch though

Just put the highlights on. Didn’t expect to see the race within 2 minutes :joy: he’s just mental.

At least last season he waited 40mins before lighting it up.

It’s like watching a man race against boys.

Great to see Backstedt & Schreiber stepping up.

The Ineos exodus continues this week with Ethan Hayter finally off to join Remco at Soudal QS for the new year. Seems the British team no longer supports British riders, although hes had a tough couple of years, but this is what Sky was originally built for, nurturing British talent

He doesn’t even have the Alderley Edge Village Sprint KoM :joy::joy::joy:

That belongs to a club mate of mine.

Does the team have any connection to British cycling now as Ineos?

Ethan saying what a lot of Manchester Utd fans are finding out this year, and I guess some explanation as to why Team Sky suddenly became unsuccessful as Team Ineos

Yup, Ineos Grenadiers seem to have been a bit fun sponge & corporate but if they are to be believed they are going to be a bit more buccaneering this year.

We’ll see.

Hopefully EH is reinvigorated with his new team, but although having great, proven ability he does go missing too easily.

But it’s okay…. They’ve signed Caleb Ewan……
