I really enjoy watching cycling, but at that price Iā€™m out for sure

There was a huge amount of backlash/bitterness when the Autumn rugby Internationals were only available on TNT.

Donā€™t understand why you need to pay for sports youā€™ve no interest in watching, especially in this day.

Main reason I cancelled sky sports was because I didnā€™t want my money going to greedy professional footballers .

Thatā€™ll be it for us too then. Weā€™ll get cyclocross worlds and then sadly thatā€™ll be that. And with only one year of TdF on ITV that really is a mess.

Not happy about this at all, want to watch the cycling but not sire I do at that price. Might cancel Sky Sports as I only watch footy on that. Watch Eurosport a lot more for tennis, cycling and Nordic skiing, biathlon.

Doesnā€™t bother me as I already have a subscription to TNT/Eurosport (and Discovery) at a reduced price of Ā£20pm as I have BT Fibre (now EE) at home. Have it so I can follow rugby primarily.

Same, my D+ subscription will get us through the CX season then Iā€™ll be cancelling. A 400% increase per month is just a joke

Way too expensive. I think the tour/giro/vuelta apps had free video feeds maybe with local language? will have to see what happens and find some vpn streams!

World & British Superbikes also going to TNT. Like @fatbuddha I have TNT already for MotoGP so no change for me. Bet the price goes up next year though.

I get D+/TNT as part of my phone sub with EE. When it was BT I could only watch it on my phone, but it seems that I can watch online and also via the D+ app on Sky Q which they will clearly find out about at some point and close the loophole.

Sky I put up with , just about, but its getting to the point of chucking it all in as they are just squeezing people further and further. "hey Suri, how do I stop people using a firestick at max Ā£100 per yearā€¦ - Sky/TNT/ et al dont charge them that a month without including all the other services.

I currently get Eurospurt as part of my Virgin package, Virgin havenā€™t yet said if it will be replaced.

Some good news at least:

Eurosport confirmed that the channel Quest will be expanding its free sports offering. This will include a new cycling show covering highlights from the season, the Giro dā€™Italia and La Vuelta a EspaƱa, live coverage of Bennetts British Superbikes and new sports documentaries.

Thats a different channel all together I think, mostly covers watersports.

Itā€™s probably a sad indictment of my attention span, but I have found watching the 5 minute highlights on YouTube to be enough in many cases, especially the sprint stages. There are then endless channels that will do analysis of the stage if you want some deeper background. Finding an hour to fit in the highlights show every evening can be a struggle, Iā€™ve often thought a 30min highlight show would be better. Just show the cycling, with a bit of pre and post analysis.

Only trouble with YouTube is they like to put a picture of the winner crossing the line as the thumbnail.

I wondered how I got it.

Keep forgetting about Quest.

My wife will scroll and say why arent you watching this?

Euro spunk?

1990s Euro-Thrash wasā€¦ errrā€¦ amazeballs.

They are saying it will help grow the sport, but fact is it will finish it in the UK. Look what happened to boxing, @Mungo2 will know, but it was mainstream when I was growing up, big fights seemed like weekly Saturday night essential viewing, then Murdoch got his grubby hands on it, made it PPV and viewing figures dropped massively in the Gen.Pop.

Football is the only sport that can still prosper behind a pay wall.

Cricket, golf, rugby, F1, might get some nice income in the short term but all suffer in the long term.

Itā€™s changed dramatically in the last few years.
Matchroom ( Eddie)
Bricktop ( Frank)
Sky ( Ben)
Pbc and the rest, with all this Saudi money uncle turki is basically the guy we have always wanted ( ish) and SOME of his ethics are standing up so far.

That said There only two of us ( out a whassap group of 9 Uk hardcore fans ) that donā€™t watch through a fire stick type gadget.

Channel fees increasing and so are the PPV prices.

Free to air elite boxing went years ago internationally and domestically Iā€™m assuming this is about the TDF ?
You have to have a new channel to watch it this year
No Eurosport ?!

Yer cricket is another that suffered due to not being readily available anymore, it was 1 of the 2 major english sports, C4 did a good job as well.
