Pro Cycling Live - will contain spoilers

My point is, the technology should be very simple to offer a single sport subscription. Maybe they think enough cyclists will pay full price to help subsidise the football rights, but it seems to me they just don’t care enough to offer anything other than a single package. The assumption being, everyone is only here for the football, everything else is a freebie add-on.

And while I’m ranting. They put free to air 1 hour highlights on Quest - at 11pm. And it seems there is no way to watch those highlights on catch-up without a TNT sports subscription. Or at least not a way I can work out.

No you have to go back to the (now considered old school) humax digital tv box with recording function.

They’ve definitely try to influence things within the sport. There was a massive backlash from the MTB community because they wanted the podium only have the top 3 places on. MTB has traditionally always been top 5 - all the racers put up posts on their social media.

Yeah but standard kit now is 32mm tyres rather than 23mm!

You know every TV for about the last 10 years has had the ability to record to a USB stick or drive?

Well, I’m not sure our tv is less than 10 years old. Even if it is, it is not connected to an aerial, internet only.

Oh, and there is no way I get to watch cycling on the big telly anyway.

There is no fking way I’d pay £31/month just to watch the TdF and Paris Roubaix. Like others said, they’ve just lumped it in with chavball and golf etc.

Bloody Americans.

If you have a broadband contract with EE (was BT) you can get Disco+ which has TNT for £18per month. Given that TNT carries a lot of rugby I have the plan.

Think from next year onwards I’ll be back to a highlights show like the 90s!

Unless as @awildt said I can use my VPN to watch foreign TV.

And how much is that?
And for what speeds?

Meh.

I only ever watch the highlights, so ITV4 will be fine for
Me this year.

Next year, just the 6-8min highlights on TNT’s YouTube channel. If cycling isn’t dead by then :headstone:

I’ve mentioned it before.

I was watching Giro d’Abruzzo yesterday & watched the last 100km of Roubaix on Sunday… admittedly it can be a bit buffery but I can live with it.

It’s how the edf expats are watching. You get France TV with a French vpn. Just brush up on your French and you can listen to Laurent Jalabert with his monotone delivery. And occasional “oh la la”.

Ah - but I don’t spend lots of £ on vag candles and designer clothes so to me it’s money well spent

So it’s more Peter Aliss (90s golf) than Murray Walker (90s F1)?

I’m wondering if I’d care whether I understood it or not…
