The power mvdp put down on those poor pedals on that last climb. Just when that tiny gap was made by Pog, mvdp looked like he was crushing the bike in half to close it!

I donāt often cycle in groups, but was unaware of the ādouble elbows outā thing when going from seated to standing on a climb. Iām guessing itās mostly a pro thing as most of us drop to our own pace when the hills go up.
I like Bilbao as a rider, gutsy domestique.

Could have been so different if Pidcock had brought the others back to the two up front, race craft in road racing is a bit different to his XC stuff, heāll learn though

Ben Turner has had a superb start to the classics, hopefully heāll get some reward today, either a win or getting Pidcock on the top step
Horrible crash with the team car there and the Cofidis rider not knowing it was there, I guess Quickstep need to employ different tactics but that seems a bit too much.
