Iā€™m not sure. Tom Pidcock wasnā€™t 100% so I guess him being dropped wasnā€™t unbelievable, but it did seem very easy.

The officials also did a whole lot of dodgy stuff, Pog managed to get a bike change from a car, despite no cars shouldā€™ve been able to be there, and he got a huge draft from the chief commā€™s car, motorbikes.

Have to be impressed with the motors in these bikes though.

Bike change. Iā€™m not sure how often these rules are relaxed and under which circumstances.
But yeah, with less than 10k to go and only a 20 odd second lead he was getting a huge draft from the RCs car. As the commentators said, at that speed, the draft from a car helps up to 50m away and it was much closer than that.

Ben Healey over performed. Riding away from a quality field is impressive.

Doing it repeatedly, over a few years without any team of note, raises eyebrows.

He was the strongest rider at the tour last year. It took a super team to beat him. The rest of the field were nowhere close.

As I said, if it looks too good to be trueā€¦

But thereā€™s another 35km ITT next week.
If youā€™re losing 40-55s over 19.6km, thatā€™s 70-85s over 35km, which is well and truly coffin and nail time.

How he beats Ganna by that much over a short ish TT is beyond me.
Theyā€™ve tailored the course to him in an effort to get him there, but shot themselves in the foot in the process.
Itā€™s going to require all the other teams to work together to bridge the gap.
