Bugger :frowning:

Absolutely incredible

G looked to be in all sorts of trouble for most of that climb and he still finished 2nd in the stage :flushed:.

Roglic’s ride on that climb was amazing

Gutted for G but that was some ride by Roglic

Roglic won it more than G lost it, but still gutting.

Great ride by Roglic.
That must feel good after his capitulation on a similar stage not so long ago :white_check_mark:

Shame for G. :sob:

14s difference after nearly 85hrs of bike riding is stupendous.

Gutted for G he has been a total warrior for Sky/Ineos and over the years just ridden his bike without any drama. Having said that chapeau Roglic he has been on the wrong end of a time trial and that must be a total sufferfest unlike any other.

Beaten by the better rider on the day, Roglic’s ride was something else and deserved to win the Giro after that. Nothing much G could have done, not legally anyhow. Would have been a great way for him to bow out but not to be.

That’s the thing with having a TT at the end of a GC race it can upend the whole weeks racing.

But fairs fair and for roglic to win despite a mechanical talks to how strong he is at the end of the Giro.

The Giro has had a flat TT on the last day for the last few years, which would probably have given a very different result.

The last week of this year’s race has been incredibly hard - 3 mountain top finishes and a mountain TT in the last 5 days :flushed:.

The Eurosport team commented that Roglic was still struggling with injuries from his crash at the start of the week and got stronger as the week went on. G was more consistent through that week, but didn’t manage to take enough time when Roglic was having his bad day on Tuesday

You’re not suggesting that Astana paid off all the other sprinters to not sprint for the stage, are you?:rofl:

Everyone seemed to be genuinely happy for Cav. He seems to be popular with the other riders and given that it’s 15 years since his first Giro stage win, a lot of them were probably inspired by him as kids

I really hope that G and Cav are tucked away in a bar having a beer……stilll in their stinking kit. Face timing Wiggo and ripping each other apart!
