Subconcious is even cheaper… but c’mon, he’s been nowhere, then wins ludicrously easy, okay, no lead out before now, maybe it made a difference and he didn’t himself seem to expect it, but… yeah it was the result that everyone liked.

Yeah, that was a joke :joy:

Enjoyed it though.

Genuinely got slightly emotional watching G lead him out.

Despite all the BS, this is why cycling is such a fantastic sport.

Despite the complaints that the first fortnight of the Giro was boring, I have watched every stage and enjoyed it as each day did have a story and the last few days, couldn’t have made it up

It is such tragic news. I have ridden the Albula pass several times, the descent to La Punt is short and not very steep (about 7% all the way), however, it is incredibly fast as there are very few slow corners. The last time I went down, it was wet, and clearly not on closed roads, even so I was hitting almost 80kph in places, so 100kph in perfect weather and closed roads seems quite feasible. This is not the only race to have a descent finish, and it’s not a dangerous descent. However, I understand the riders’ concerns, I am uncertain how a rule could be put in place to make these descents safer. Even if the descent was 10km before the finish, riders would still push 100% to get an advantage.

I also wonder whether the Swiss roads contributed - the road surface on Albula is perfect, there is a slight camber on all of the corners, and the radius is constant. Mader also lives very close to this pass, he has probably ridden it 100 times. I believe he crashed into Magnus Sheffield, it’s possible that he was much faster than Magnus and crashed as a result of the difference in speed

Ah slightly misleading headline - Renshaw is joining the coaching team as a sprint consultant, not a rider

Who cares about that, the Wilier is lovely, want one.

Where the eff is the TdF thread???

I’ve picked my team.
The hills start early and are unrelenting this year :exploding_head:

One measly TT.
Only a few flat stages.
