Top 3 again in my team with Pedersen as the winner :sunglasses: if only I’d been betting on it

Im so gutted about Cav. Hes always been one of my favourites. An outstanding cyclist and a funny character who is always interesting to listen to in interviews.

Such a sad way for a legend to bow out, and be so close to taking that record.

He’ll be back, won’t he???

I wonder if the peloton would’ve “gifted” him Paris?

Hes retiring end of this year. I guess now as he doesnt have any other plans I dont think. He may decide not to but will he have a contract?

He announced his retirement during the Giro, so unless he changes his mind and finds a team willing to take him this is it.

Fully aware he’s retiring, but c’mon, Lance retired innit. :joy::face_with_peeking_eye:

Pretty sure Poulidor wasn’t MvdP’s father

Seems finding the team wont be an issue.

It’ll be good for the movie of his life.

Fork yeah!!!

First and second stage are sprint stages - give him a chance on day one. Doesn’t get it. Phillipsen gets his days in yellow, day two is for Mark.

I’d still fucking love it :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

I’ll take off my rose tinted spectacles soon.
Promise.

They really need half a dozen other riders to bridge-up.

ETA - all looking a bit scrappy atm.

I have Asgreen in the break; hope it sticks!

Since they’re on it at the moment, can I post this again?

I sacked off Asgreen, so he’s obviously going to win it

Small break on a tight rein. Unless that final lump breaks it up, one for the fast men. Likely Philipsen again?

I thought Philipsen was boxed in and out of it there.

He’s unbeatable in the sprints this year

6 from 6 at the Tour if you include the two last year

Just picks his way through the gaps at warp speed

Useful being in a french office - they love the tour no matter what. Got to watch the last 10km here. That was a good one for Cav. Pity he’s no longer there.

I reckon Cav would have been 1st or 2nd if he was there at the end. Sad for him to not be but still a total legend
