Tracker says just 39 with the Jonas now and will only get smaller as they go over the next two climbs. My prediction of a breakaway winner still looks good but the next two climbs will determine that.

Caleb Ewan is out.

I donā€™t know if heā€™s injured, but he was a long way behind the peloton, riding by himself, when he went through the sprint point, so it looked like he had no chance of avoiding the time limit

I canā€™t help thinking that Pog is expending a lot of effort to make up a handful of seconds here and there. Simon Yates did the same thing at the Giro in 2018 and then blew up spectacularly and lost a tonne of time :man_shrugging:
