I think the advent of GPS watches made me train too hard on the run for Ironman; rather than just run to HR/perceived exertion I was chasing the pace. In the early years I’d just ‘run for 2h in Z2’.
Problem is I guess there’s so many decent pros these days that’s it’s an eggs against the wall thing now - there will be enough of them that have taken the risk to push their training that you can’t possibly win under-cooked

Not at all. Some sort of general statement to acknowledge it and pledge your innocence I get. But calling people out as your ‘enemies’ is a bit childish and reactive.
This is very interesting and looking at what you have said regarding not asking for TUEs. this seems to suggest that you have had them before which is fine as I understand some people do need them but for the interests of transparency and if you want to present a clean image have you used any corticosteroid prior to competing this year or been on them for long durations of time?
It seems to mainly refer to Kona 2022 - as I reported at the time, lots of pro’s were pointing fingers at each other about doping, as far as I could tell, all of the pro’s were extremely suspicious about every other pro. Sam’s was one of the stand out surprise performances
