I was reading a thread on ST about Ryf coaching herself and the comparisons to the current crop, Knibb, LCB and the they were talking about how dominant Ryf was, even compared to Chrissie.
I’ve seen these posts before about Ryf but what I don’t get is why that nobody ever seems to mention the ‘Swiss Miss’, she won the bloody thing 6 times and it seems to be completely forgotten.

Sad for the St George race, but he can wait for the winner, whoever it is, in Kona…
Will be a big asterisk for whoever wins ‘didn’t win it in Kona, didn’t beat the GOAT’ and if its Gustav he’s committed to the 70.3 WC and said he won;t race Kona which will leave things feeling a little unresolved.
Not yet that I’ve seen. I assume injury, in the last few weeks there have been a lot of skiing photos on his Insta and no running photos so I was not that surprised by this news.

So he’s prodded the Norwegian bears and will turn up at best with a last training block compromised by Covid, and could still have the lingering fatigue. Good luck Joe!
