Who?
skipper
So I believe… adjusted though because current power meter reads wrong apparently.
TBF the run was decent (okay)… swim shocking, bike meh
Pretty certain his been thinking that last two years. Hence his other ventures and rebrand.
Skipper was out of the equation on Wednesday or so whenever they announced it would be non-wetsuit
Just finished the catch up on Frankfurt, what a fun race definitely fomo on my part. Hogenhaug amazing, despite the fuck ups. Blu is just so strong on the run though. Took 7hrs to catch him though…
Really feels like it’s there to test your bike mechanics, do not like it but accept it’s a feature and would be less of a course without it.
Stag weekend I guess??
Holly Lawrence doing her first full at lake placid today and third on the bike about halfway,
Just started pouring down as well.
She was 1st for the first 27km
Perterer got a blue card when she rolled into the draft zone of a Pro man (think it was a back of the pack pro man) up a hill… thats tough.
Marquardt has a very strange running style with his arms, left hand looks like he’s banging a drum or something.
Most of the lead M\F pro’s seem to be carrying some kind of nutrition or something of their own, one has a waist pack.
What’s with all the bottles on chevaliers set up? Thought that was banned now
Isnt the rule about the fore-aft of the bottle is respect to ‘X’ and no more than 2 litres
Cant remember what ‘X’ is, maybe the centre point of the stem.
Didnt note what he had, but you could have 4x 500ml bottles in theory as long as no hydration pack.
Not something Ive taken much note of as it doesnt affect me.
Spooky… a mix of the past, present and future (Im off to ask the lottery numbers for the rest of the year)
"Paula Findlay had planned to make her full-distance Ironman debut at Ironman Lake Placid in July 2025. However, she later considered switching to the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in November instead. Ultimately, she didn’t make her full-distance debut in 2025, and instead focused on the 70.3 distance. "
It must be the bike, if I get a BMC and do a bit of training maybe I could get these numbers at Swansea 70.3 next year.
Anne Haug retires

Interesting
Quite damning for a few people with over 10 minutes in the red zone! It being released will be the biggest deterrent to future drafting
