I don’t think discs are an issue.

Definitely seen pics of both Chickenboy and Mrme with them on their P3s

Cool, love to see all the top end bikes in their absolute optimised set up.
(Followed by the slagging off on ST for the round water bottles or seat too high)

Round water bottles are the way forward.
Pick up on course nutrition and no effing about with BTS/BTA :+1:t3:

It’s called sandbagging and there’s plenty of people on here that are very good at it

Keep having recurring thoughts of the LION thundering and hitching his way down the chute, with a full display of teeth and breaking the tape.

The lack of real swim firepower will help him, and he lives/trains Arizona so dry desert heat is familiar.

If it’s a close slugfest of a run his willingness to suffer will see him home. Just feels like the withdrawals, location, Norwegian colds etc - it’s all lining up for him.

That cadex bike’s front drink reservoir looks unfillable on the go in practicality

I’m going for the Lion

If he doesn’t do it Saturday he’ll never do it

I don’t buy that narrative. I don’t think that because he gurns and grunts his way through the run that he ‘wants it more’ or suffers more. I think it’s like those blokes in the gym that give a shout as they lift, then loudly drop the weights. Both Brownlees have put themselves in real states without all the noise. I just don’t think you win at that level without that mind set.

Well we just saw him at Oceanside work his way through the field ‘smelling blood’ giving it his all for second.

It’s probably further up in the thread - I did look honest - but what’s the best way to watch the race? Was Facebook mentioned? Thanks!!!

He is actually very good at chewing his way into contention from a couple of minutes back, that seems to be his current strategy and historically best approach.

You wouldn’t fancy him to do it against Jan, or a prime Iden……but it’s as if someone’s looking out for him….

If AB has 2 minutes on him at T2, heart is on AB but any folding stuff would be on the LION….

AB is likely to have 6-7 minutes from the swim at least so I suppose it depends on how hard they both hit the bike?

About 4 minutes. At best.
The lake is 14°
His Helvellyn swim will stand him in good stead :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Nah mate … BBC’s ‘experts’ say it’s a warm reservoir swim

“the world’s best will compete in Utah, swimming in a warm-water reservoir before riding and running along parched tarmac in the shadow of the state’s sandstone stacks.”

Not sure if there is some non-parched tarmac in other locales?!

So men’s run should start a little after 6pm. Perfect. Much better than Kona!
