I remember a thread a few years back where a seppo was categorically stating that ‘No Ironman in the world allows you pick up your race pack the day before, they are all two days before to have more people stay’.

then in response some guy banging on about risk of hypothermia, I’m no medical expert so I will gladly be educated here, I’m guessing that could be because you get cold after the event but would this cause core temp to drop to dangerously low levels below 35c? (maybe wear a hoody when you finish or a heat retaining foil blanket)
