I love ST. dtoce who is a cardiologist shares some of the latest reseach that suggests that Keto may be a bad idea (Never going to go down well on ST), he then makes the fatal error of pointing out some medical inaccuracies in Dr Noakes publications, and makes it even worse by describing Dr Noakes as an idiot “I guess that I just hold doctors to higher standards than he now shows.”
Steve B (tosser) then comes back with a long winded respons, but love this:
“We are not going to bow down to The Cardiologist just because you passed your boards; this is Slowtwitch, not your waiting room. Yes, it’s next-level here. If not prostrating ourselves to who runs you off, I think that’s really between you and the editorial team, of which I am most certainly not a part”
Later on at least rrheisler gets it right in response to Steve B
“You’re right, you’re not part of the editorial team. And the editorial team here is emphatically telling you to be less of an asshole, or you may find the door.”
Keto seems to attract fanatics who think its the only way and wont debate any criticism. Its like a cult, add in the ST/IMJ nuttyness as well and its an explosive combination
“it’s “pretty incontrovertible, but not universally accepted” that a whole food diet that’s primarily plant based is the best option for longevity, weight management and cardiovascular health.”
I think the post should have begun and ended on that sentence. As with some coaching practices it seems you need a magic bullet and a lot of bullshit to either get “customers” or sell books. A lot of “professional” (its their livelihood not coaches of professional athletes) nutrition / sports coaches are the same. Never trust someone with some quick fix magic bean.
There are about 15 houses in my close and until Fenella Langridge’s brother moved, I wasn’t even the best cyclist, runner or triathlete in my close and nobody else does it.
Unless you count LO, she’s getting proper fucking sneaky.
