I watch a lot of youtube channels, if you think there isn’t hate in the detailing world, google opinions on ‘Pan the Organizer’ :joy:

Anyway, so many of these channels start with something like ‘Hey if you’re new here and like what we do, please like and subscribe’.

I don’t know if I like what you do because I’ve only been watching for 15 bloody seconds! twats

Some of the boxing ones are quite simply awful but two are excellent
The ev ones are very varied from Save the planet, and give me your money too, ev”s are crap ( nothing to do with the 64 k ( that’s not a typo) negative equity I’m in.

There are wash your car Ones, I watched one the other day, learnt a few tips but the stuff they sell… dear me !
Forty quid for car polish … it wasn’t even that big a tin either ?!?

£40! Soft 99 Fusso is a bargain at £31  I’ve learnt about PIR ( Panel Impact Ratio), fallout vs decon, and don’t even get me started on the 1 bucket vs 2 bucket war :joy:

If anyone is ever wanting to pass half an hour on YouTube, there’s a great video of a capibara slowly eating a whole watermelon.

Right first thing you need to know is that this is all post prewash (citrus, snow foam, rinse). Your car has to be clean before you can start a contact wash. (that’s where you actually touch the paint with a wash mitt).

Two bucket - Traditional method of having one bucket with shampoo in and a 2nd bucket with water for rinsing out the mitt. (this bucket will have a grit guard in the bottom). You apply the shampoo via the mitt, then rinse it and wipe it on the grit guard in the rinse bucket. Then dip it in the shampoo bucket and start again. It’s done to avoid transferring any dirt from the mitt back to the pain (this avoids marring). Even with a 2 bucket method, most folks use a separate mitt for the bottom third of the car and do that last.

One bucket - This is the shampoo bucket (some use a guard) as before but with this, you have multiple mitts and only use them once each side. So a small car can be done with two mitts and then a third for the bottom. The mitts never go back in the bucket, once used they get put aside for washing.

It’s a proper ‘tubs vs clinchers’ debate

Summer is easy

I find it fascinating and I don’t even know why! I don’t even like cars that much :man_facepalming: I generally like things neat and tidy though.

You know you’re into it when you buy a Kranzle power washer, no change from a grand with those.

I think I have washed my car twice since I bought it in July 2017. Both times at the supermarket jet wash.

With 3 cages on his bike, it’s impressive to be able to do a 750ml bottle every ten mins. Most courses I’ve done have aid stations more than 30mins apart on the bike.

His shoes must stink of piss given the amount of fluid he’s consuming - no way will he sweat that lot out

Let me stop you there. It’s two buckets. End.
