Quality Slowtwitch/IMJ Threads

Basically how many ‘matches’ you’ve used.

I’m of a similar opinion. It’s useful as an addition to help guide training. There was a guy on IMJ who stopped swimming because he could run for more TSS and didn’t want to detrain :joy:

I am sooooo glad I don’t look at IMJ :rofl:

I joined it for laughs, had to leave. It’s truly awful. UkTriTwat, sorry UKTriChat, on Twitter isn’t much better.

Day 6 he finished in the dark. Seems he started day 7 as usual. //

Quote 2
What does that even mean? doesn’t it get dark at about 8pm or so?

I guess he is in Ireland where dawn is later than 20:00.

Hm, must be after 22:00 if he’s finishing in the dark? Not great if it’s only day 6.

If he’s starting at 7am and going for 15 hours that takes him until 10pm. Apparently plan was for 15.5 hours per day leaving a smallish sleeping window.

We probably need a ‘sweepstake’ on the result. How many will he complete?

I’ll go for 24.

They’re discussing the magical 16 tooth gear again…

“Strict monitoring of calories in vs cals out. And, if this does not work for you, then just don’t eat. Drink just water and don’t eat and I guarantee that you will lose weight. There is absolutely no excuse for being chubby.”

There are also some who appear to be boasting about anorexia - Slowtwitch must be a very confusing reality to live in.

I think it’s a pi$$ take based on the ‘Anyone can KQ’ thread :upside_down_face: At least that’s how I perceived it; haven’t reads the bites on it though.

Ignorance and stupidity.

Considering research has gone past calories in vs calories out being the be all and end all. My wife is doing research on diet, weight and its correlation to factors like insulin response as opposed to purely amount eaten.

The geographical awareness stereotype certainly raised it’s head on the Ironman Cork thread.

The dude is still going;

“Objectively I would not rate her as world class.”

How you rate someone is the definition of subjective!

You’re wrong Jgav. It’s a very simple, objective measure. Is he or is she not Lionel Sanders? (answers in the positive = world class triathlete).

It’s so reminiscent of Armstrong. He’s the best, he’s clean, he hates Greg so I hate Greg and that Betsy, Frankie’s jealous. Oh… now I hate Floyd, now Tyler. Please George, tell us it’s not true!! … Well everyone was cheating so it’s the same. Blah, blah, blah. (I don’t mean the doping is the same just the one-eyed bias)

Twitch hunt on Frodo for losing a bottle.

Not quality yet, but it’s mere existence is enough for me:
