I am a wannabe pro that doesn’t know what I’m talking about as I once went 1:48 for the 7oaks tri in 2014.

It was a super sprint

Really? NO WAY.

It’s a long sprint, done it about 6 times and very hilly. 400m swim, although I think I usually do 450-500m as they can’t count. Bike it 25km of Kent countryside on terrible roads, run is 8k of trails. Think the best times are struggling to break 1.30. You’d love the course, apart from the soup swim.

Sad thing is he not only stalked my result , missing the 2.18 Olympic I did a few weeks after, but also a photo of me doing it. They also stalked Poets strava and have dug out tinpot for his ironman times. Anyone dares offer an alternative view seems their results are pulled up to discredit them whilst also celebrating mediocrity which makes little sense.

Speed = knowledge, didn’t you know?

Im going to have to let the Physics department at King’s know about this new discovery, and tell my son to stop revising for his GCSEs and get on the treadmill.

FWIW, I’m sat here meant to be working, just thinking about what I need and mentally rehearsing T1 and T2

I just didn’t know what to say to that.

He looks like a real person as well. I just gave a sad face response instead. :man_shrugging:t2:

I feel like I’m meeting The Real Internet for the first time .

It’s weird.

I enjoy the training, but the IM run can fook off

That’s just natural!

I was watch Lange run on his second WC win earlier. He just looks so easy, relaxed. I just can’t imagine it.

I cried periodically round my first IM marathon. I only carried on because I didn’t want to have to go back and do it again.

Then got no medal or t shirt.

It was a miserable experience. It took me a week to get over my disappointment.

Mind you after a World of pain at Helvellyn I vowed NEVER to do it again.

Doesn’t just, next time I do that there’s a bell going on the bars…
Not that half the fuckers would move out of the way, when you’re doing 8.91 mph, you’ve just GOT to pass the bloke in front of you doing 8.9 who you were only able to stay on because you were drafting.
