Amazing runner!
Follow Kate Carter on Instagram. She seems like a fantastic runner
Interesting to see her history, 800m and 1500m as a junior & then onwards and upwards
Coached by Andy Walling I see, lovely fella .
Slowtwitch going into mourning with Long walking, LIONel off the pace and Skipper leading by 8 minutes halfway thorough the run
Was going to post earlier about this.
All three of those guys seem to have had a very busy season
Yes but Sanders’ was the busiest and most the, something, something we love you Lionel.
So funny watching them do back flips defending Long’s dnf and touting LIONel’s result as a win despite him getting stuffed by Skipper
What race did I miss then?
Chattanooga
Do we think Joe has what it takes to be world champion?
Not quite. I think with his swim, he starts a bit too far back. If he could stick with the front pack, or a 2nd pack which is close behind, then maybe.
He’s not good enough to beat an in-form Frodeno. No-one is.
Everyone is waiting for Frodo to retire.
As I said up thread or in another thread, I think his perfect day is enough to win, but his good day isn’t on he podium. Whereas McNamee’s good day is enough to podium. He isn’t yet reliable enough to have a good chance at it, but his progress from 2019 has been really exciting.
I guess everyone needs Frodo to have a bad day to be in with a chance of winning. Love what McNamee does just quietly getting on with it and yeah he has the consistency, but Joe has really improved this last 2 years, and has won in some very hot humid conditions which bodes well for a WC podium.
Having said that, no doubt he could use another minute off his swim.
I think / hope he’ll win at Kona. Might not be next year but I reckon he’s got it.
His last 6 Ironman’s have been 1st, 1st, 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 1st
Ha ha, fair point, but I’m considering all his races not just his fulls. Maybe I shouldn’t, but that’s why I say reliability.
Oh and you’re skipping IM Tulsa 6th
A wetsuit swim at St George might be good for him, but then he wouldn’t have “won at Kona”
I’m sure he’d take a WC win wherever it was.
