You miserable fookers. We should be applauding and encouraging anyone who gets off their arse and drags it round whatever course/sport they have chosen. Too many in this world drift through life on a diet of Netflix and processed food.
“You must be fun at parties”
In the kitchen with the rest of the “grumpy old men” putting the world to rights
Edit: Interesting -Tried to quote Joex’s post but system removed it as I’d quoted “The whole of the previous post”
It was a rather amusing first reply!
I do kinda get his point, but I generally just internally find those types of things a bit strange and it certainly wouldnt bother me enough to go write a post about it.
What surprised me most is that a club has a whatsapp chat for club based announcements?! That must be one small club, otherwise it must be utter carnage to actually read/find anything useful! That’s certainly one chat thread I’d be muting, otherwise your phone must be going off almost all the time!
Not the type of thread that normally gets posted in here, but the link contained within has the potential to become genuinely intriguing. I certainly found the first article published an interesting read
Agree Stenard, I’ll try and follow the series. Know some have been critical of the continued focus and resurfacing of the Iron war rather than modernising the sports image but I’ve actually never heard, read or watched anything on it or Kona in general.
The whole Slowtwitch site is a joke.
Most, if not all, of the “articles” he writes are pseudo paid for posts.
Skip to the partners list at the bottom…
…then try and find some articles that aren’t about those brands.
He always “intends” to write about them, but never gets round to it.
It’s all op-ed when partner brands are concerned.
If it’s a rival, then data to disprove their marketing hype is duly rolled out.
I don’t trust it at all.
I wasn’t cynical enough to question until noticed 220 could do pieces on run shoes without mentioning Nike, and now can’t see past the fact all the gear is always same companies. I’ve enjoyed this Christmas present subscription getting into tri but one year is more than enough.
Definitely they just recycle the same stuff over and over
I may be mis-quoting this but I think it was Jorgan who said “You’re not a Triathlete until you’ve cancelled a 220 subscription”
Fully agree with this
Just catching up with the Michael Weiss thread. Think we need to divide the tritalk community into alphas, betas, incels and proud boys.
I’m a beta, before anyone else points that out
Wait… O boy… It’s from post #186 that thread really gets entertaining. The tests are literally rolling down my face at this point. Thanks for the link
Post #208
“You make this forum a worse place. You make this world a worse place”
It’s like a masterclass, that thread
Is that in reply to Weiss?
He seems genuine. And contrite.
If murderers can serve their time and rehabilitate, I’m pretty certain alleged dopers can, too.
No, it was 2 keyboard warriors duking it out
Doesn’t take long to get to ‘Usain definitely doped’ theories.
Just stumbled across this. It seems that after the ST cull the usual suspects found their way to the UK Time Trial forum to continue the never ending FTP debate.
I’ve only skimmed it so far but some of Coggan’s posts have been “Moderated” so it appears he hasn’t changed much.
Pretty sure there have been anonymous surveys with >18% T&F athletes admitting to doping, don’t have links to hand at work.
Jesus. I dont know what it is about amateur triathletes but my god do they tie themselves up in knots over the smallest of things. If they spent as much time training as they do overthinking they would be better anyway.
Like the plums on ST who obses over q factors and crank length. Just ride your fucking bike.
