Forecast is for sleet and snow over Christmas in North Yorkshire

Yes, think it’s the garage again!
And I’m off the mark with 103km.

Starts on Friday
For sheep it does

The “ethos” of it is about getting outdoors, in the Northern hemisphere and getting the rides in.
Indoor rides
Southern Hemisphere
A week early
I’m also doing it in five days.
Then again next week (wife dependent
)
@gingerbongo said I could do it a week early, so there
Well, this has put paid to my Rapha 500, before it’s even started.
Think I’m sacking off anything remotely physical until 2022.
Oh god. Hope you’re not feeling too unwell with it. Rest up @wheezy
Bad news, hope you aren’t too affected. I’d definitely back off any serious training and only consider anything if you are feeling well.
Thanks both. Last couple of days have been a bit rough but definitely feeling better now. Got a cough that I can’t shake, but I’m always like that with a heavy cold; it always goes to my chest. Have to isolate until 28th so Christmas plans have had to change. I’ll follow the thread and give out kudos on Strava. Maybe next year.
Oh no, sorry to hear that dude.
I guess the numbers game will dictate that a few on this forum are likely going to be hit in one way or another.
Stay healthy, and try not to get too fat eating mince pies and copious cases of beer for the next week!
Seriously though, hope you perk up soon.
Halfway round at 80k in Malpas.
Slipping saddle and snapped front gear cable is makin for slow progress.
Oh. And the feels like 0°

Your smile will warm us all up ![]()
You also appear to be at the equator, all sideways.

Pretty sure there’s a reason why people don’t ride centuries in the UK winter
Best thing was the beer at the finish

Great effort @Poet
Sorry to hear @wheezy and hope you remain well
Disc has gone in my back again and getting leg/nerve pain so think that’s me back on the bench for a this one.
@wheezy - Looks like you’ve now got three days to do it

ETA: Short one today for me. Christmas food to pick up, solid fuel to stock up and might even get a trip to the beach thrown in

Easy 52km in 2 hours this morning.
Frosty and dark start

No mechanicals or disasters.
Fantastic effort!
I’ve just looked at my Strava stats for the year and I’ve cycled 6932 miles. Feeling better today, so while 500k would be a bit silly, it seems that knocking off another 68 miles to sneak over 7000 is there for the taking. New rules mean I could be let out on Boxing Day.
