My Vaporfy 2 developed a hole after 12 months of not so much running.
I’ve claimed on the warranty & just got a £135 voucher from Nike.

Did you send them a picture of the other one as a comparison?
You joke but I had to send the trainer back to them & it did sate that if sold as a pair then both were required & I’d given the other away to my shoe buddy. Thankfully they didn’t ask about the other & my shoe buddy is getting another free trainer.
The voucher covers the purchase price form Sports Pursuit but needs to be spent at the Nike store where they are more expensive but I think there’s a fair chance of another hole in 12 months so …
You’ll end up blacklisted like @Poet
Missed this story in August, but Puma are doing another 1000 pairs of their illegal fast shoe. 58mm stack height, 3 carbon plates
There goes leahnp’s bonus
They don’t look like a trail shoe🙄
these track-inspired shoes were born to blaze trails
hideous…
They look perfect for Derwent Du
I though that said “hideouts” for a second.
‘Hide’ them and never be seen ‘out’ or ‘outs’ in them. Hideou(t)s
Anybody got a pair of ASIC FujiSpeed?
Don’t do a lot of very technical trail running, mostly gravel pathways of varying upkeep and the odd off-road parkrun. And need to be able to run on tarmac to get to the trails, so a full-on off road shoe is not ideal.
Relacing some Pegasus Trail which were OK, but would like a bit more grip in mud. Like my ASICs NovaBlast, but haven’t had an ASICs shoe with a carbon plate before. Also, much difference between the 2 and the 3? Reviews say the 3 is a bit more cushioned, more stable, better for longer runs. But Sportsshoes have the 2 at £80 at the moment, which is tempting if the difference is small.
am always happy with my various Inov8s for mud…but they tend to fail on the slippery slate and stone…usually when i have an audience…
£80 for the version 2 is pretty good. Usually it comes down to what you want most, speed or grip, it’s very hard to get both.
For an all rounder, I like the Trabuco but it’s probably too heavy for your needs.
I’ve not had a plated ASICs shoe, but am slowly rotating my trainer stable towards them after years of Nike.
Not the most aggressive shoe but looks perfect for fast, non-technical trails.
With the plate it would be like bringing a gun to a knife fight at many Parkruns. Also, I’d love to see how a plate can help long climbs…I’m very tempted .
Interested in any feedback on these, like the idea of a faster trainer for trail runs.
I like the pegs and they’re comfortable when you hit any tarmac sections but something like this could give a bit of help in a race.
they just don’t fit me properly, but were a decent shoe. Im currently on Saucony Pellegrine which are generally Ok except for the really muddy parts. Pretty similar to the Cascadia I wore multiple versions of. Cant even remember why I changed. Cascadia were better for getting to/from but these a bit better once there. Not sure how they’d fair over the proper off road stuff though
Inov8s didn’t have the best reputation for durability, not sure if that’s changed now they’re are back under original ownership?
They are also pretty expensive.
always buy mine in the sales…
and if you train as little as i do, they tend to last years…
That’s like my Next %s, 6 yrs old now
