I don’t know why but skin tight shorts for running is a no from me.

Also in the market for some new shorts. How are the ones with liners? Better than just wearing a pair of under shorts like Under Armour or Nike Pro?

for many years in my marathon days I ran in just lycra shorts purely for comfort as with a props legs they reduced thigh rub. just use copious amounts of Vas around the sack and crack to reduce it further.

these days I train in shorts with a lycra inner - just as comfy and shall we say, less revealing….

I use the non-tight version of the kiprun trail shorts - excellent bit of kit!

I got kiprun 500 Comfort shorts, very soft only last season but they’re unhemmed legs and looking tatty and threads showing already. Remember how little I run? So I’m not recommending kiprun shorts.

I like shorts with liners for trail running, road running they have more of a brief inside to keep things in place.

I used to wear compression shorts under shorts without liners, quite liked them but could rub on sensitive areas. But the compression in the quads was actually a decent place to stick a gel or jelly sweets.

I wouldn’t want my heavy iPhone bouncing around in my shorts during a run. A wee fanny pack is probably better. I’ve an ancient innov8 one, a bit like this:

I have to go half tights since I’ve got a bit heavier or the thigh chaffe on a run longer than 30 mins becomes very sore!

I had to delete and not upload what I ran and then went to the shop in.

I occasionally get a look, but dont really care tbh. Sometimes I think do I smell or is it a clothes look. Given most around here its not not the smell. They look like shit but im sure they think trendy… but smell like soap dodgers (months plus)
