Strava or tattoo: Incoming!

Well it’s moot point now, as my mystery allergy has flared up again on my chest and neck (it was my arms before). I contracted during my multiple back operations, nobody seems to know what it is but we know I react to things like surgical adhesives and some latex based materials.

Either way, until I know what is and why suddenly it’s started flaring u again, I won’t adding anything to my skin!

I’m considering a tat this year after Wales. I did it back in '17, but never got round to it then. Reasoning for this year is i’ve just turned 50, had one of my most enjoyable weekends ever completing LCW with my wife and actually might put a bit more effort into my training this year. So it will mean a lot more than just the race or the brand, I think ‘Ironman’ can be a snap-shot of your life at a certain point in time; hopefully one you’re proud of.

I’ve had one for 7 years and still happy I had it done to be fair. The chinese symbols I had done in the 90’s look a bit dated though.

Each to their own and don’t worry about what other folk think. I’ve even started going out full kit w@nker on the bike recently - it bothers me not.

New tat

OK, not actually a tat - well I hope not- but a race number transfer which is showing no signs of wanting to come away 48 hours later

Wouldn’t mind, looks kinda macho don’t you think, except I accidentally applied it upside down.

Leave it there - it will wear off eventually or you’ll scrape it off when you get fed up of people pointing and laughing….

Trotters though - big TUT!

@fruit_thief, you’re an animal.

Also, use olive oil! Always helped me get rid of rave numbers.

Edit: Olive oil, what you find in Sainsbury’s. Not Popeye’s other half.

Wear calf guards and you’ll hide it, and look like a triaflete :joy:

You might end up with a tan of the number :joy:

If he hasn’t tanned in two years it’ll be doubtful in two days.

I know your game @APM , trying to get a free oiled trotter shot

Nice try, but that service is only available to premium subscribers

Suncream or baby oil works quite well too. Need to put quite a thick layer on and leave it for a bit then wipe off.

Acetone will take it off.
RAID your wife’s manicure drawer.
