Good luck Chris.

Good luck fella.

And he’s in the water, being punched and kicked as we speak no doubt :tada:

They’d have to catch him first

Unsurprisingly all out on his own in M30

Jesus. Would have been 6th overall if he started with the pros

Still in 4th at 19k on the bike. 50 sec back.

A guy called Harry Wiles absolutely tearing the bike up. Looks like a weapon as was 3 mins back out of the water.

Chris 2nd in AG though still.

Pete Jacobs holding his own with Appleton, Neumann & Currie in a train at the front after 46km

Chris sat in 4th AG overall 1:57 back on the lead. 2nd in AG after 35km

Chris had a decent bike, having smashed the swim, and has just started running. 4:04 pace for first split. His transitions were fast. But needs a 3h12 marathon to go sub 9… it’s still on, tracker is estimating 9h1m

COME ON CHRIS!!!

Go on lad, brilliant swim!

Oohh just woke to all this. Come on Chris boy!

Looks like estimated finish is about a 9.06 I think. That’s just nuts

4:53 bike. :flushed:

Not sure about run pacing but looks off the estimated times to be tracking just outside 9hrs.

1:58:xx through 25km.

49:xx swim
4:53:xx bike
5:xx over both T’s

Needs a 3:12 run?

Last couple of splits have his run speed trending up :chart_with_upwards_trend: COME ON CHRIS!!

Right I got to go for a run. I think 5 mins may be a tad too much to claw back in 15k. But regardless, a 9.05 is bloody insane anyway!

But I’ll keep the faith. Come on lad!

Hoping that’s an aid station between 30 and 31km…

Ah the 8m/km pace followed by a 3.12m/km. Well placed timing mats…

Yeah there are some mental splits that may not be 100% accurate! :joy:

He’s still moving consistently overall though it would seem.
