I’ve had issues with one pair and my Garmin Edge 1000. To read it I have to tilt my head through about 30 degrees.

Like Sowler said I think that only applies to older screens, the type where you tilted it slightly and it became unreadable or back when you couldn’t see your phone in the sun.

I have a new Google phone and the screen just looks weird and shimmery in my Oakley polarised casual shades. I frequently end up taking them off when using my phone

I think some of my goggles are polarised and the water at Cascais looked like liquid gold. It was pretty cool if a little weird.

Bolle safety glasses for me - usually get free from work, or £1 from boot sale. At a push they are about £7 from Screwfix etc. Clear, amber, dark, whatever shade you want - loads of different styles, grippy nose pieces, 100% UV blocking.

Live Strava would just be an irritation around where i ride - there’s literally dozens of very similar segments with thousands of people registering times on them, so the leaderboards are irrelevant for me

Has anyone got Bolle sunnies? Last time I asked I couldn’t get Oakley’s because of my prescription, although recent changes in my prescription might have brought me into range again, that might be for the over 50’s thread!
Quite like the Victus Pro, but can’t find them anywhere in shops across Europe and concerned they’ll fall off while running. I still prefer my 20 year old Rudy Ekynox but they stopped doing them years ago and their current ones look rubbish.

Wore them in the desert almost every day. Really good and robust but the rubber has started to come away around the nose and the lenses are scratched. Cat 4 means hopefully eyes not too fried despite strong sun.

What’s your prescription? Only ones I tried were awful but my prescription is fairly high.
The sphere on one of my eyes was something like 5.25 and the highest Oakley do is 5. But it had actually gone back down about 12 months ago.
Did you try Bolle?
Edit: I struggle to see my bike Garmin with my old Oakley’s, but it’s an old screen and if it’s sunny there’s a lot of glare, I suspect a newer would be better, it’s only a problem if I’m following a route on an audax or something.

Yes. Similar numbers. I’ve reduced all my Garmin screen to 4 data fields.
Navigation I can make out arrows but I can’t see the path.

I think when I got the Oakleys they were more for distance which is probably the issue, I can see the road ahead no problem but the bread crumb trail on the screen is too small. Having said that it isn’t much better with my normal clear glasses on.
Numbers are fine.
The oakleys are quite scratched now after quite a lot of abuse.
When I get round to replacing them I’ll update here.

Take a look at Rockbros.
Really good value, and lots of their styles come with clip-in myopia frames that you can then get glazed cheaply independently by sending the frames away.
Specsavers were doing some Adidas ones with prescription clip-ins. I have seen some at Costco too (can’t remember the brand). Costco do a lot of Oakleys too.
