Tdf2020 SPOILER ALERT!

Whats tomorrows race like or is it a day off time?

Same as today!

Could be a break, might get away, monstrous climb midway, some smaller ones later on.

Who knows?

The answer to everything at the moment seems to be WVA.

Crowds were pretty mad on the big climb, given the covid situation. You’ve got to think that the crowds pose the biggest covid risk to the riders

Col de.Marie Blanque isn’t especially high but it is a tough, typical Pyreneen climb with lots of change in incline. Gets much harder as it gets higher. Not a ‘diesel’ climb, hopefully one of the little guys has a proper go. Be tough to stay away from its summit though.

How often are they testing?

After seeing the crowds on that stage today I’ll be surprised if the authorities don’t have something to say.

If that’s the biggest risk, then the race will finish no problem.

Think they’re tested every day, might even be 2x a day, I don’t think any of them is at risk, and virus seems to be weakened, but just from the way they set things out I’d assumed there was a high chance of breakouts and then the ASO would send them home. I don’t want any of that to happen but from the POV of playing this fantasy TdF game, I’d kept credits back just in case over the 3 weeks it starts to happen…

Just finished listening to The Cycling Podcast, they’re suggesting Monday’s rest day is the first day of testing every member of the teams, staff included.

That seems to go against the Covid protocols drawn up before it started, but if that’s true be interesting seeing where we are up to by Tuesday!

Ha ha - the firld could be decimated!

This ride by Hirschi is seriously impressive. Very nominal gap now, but the leaders may all look at each other once it hits the last bit of flat. And his descending has looked really good.

Even if it does come back together, the way he sprinted on stage 2 would probably make him favourite anyway. Although obviously a long day out front is going to deaden the legs a bit.

I hope he gets the win

Guess it’s down to whether the chasers want to TTT to make the catch really, think he’ll survive, just

or maybe not

Gutted. Was willing him on so badly!

Despite having Pogacar as captain.

wow!

Hirschi is my new favourite rider!. That was ridiculously gutsy.

We were screaming at the TV at the sprint!

Yep, same. At least he’s a shoe in for the red bib as a consolation

On a positive note, you won’t get a better advert for the excitement of bike racing than that!.. surely any sports fan, cyclist or not, would have been on the edge of their seat at that one!

Aru abandons and there was also a rumour about Caleb. Can’t see any confirmation that he’s away.

Great stage solo breakaway absolutely burying himself over the mountains, chasing group with the surviving GC hitters, catching him. When caught allowed to sit on the back …then goes for it only to be pipped on the line. Great stage Bernal and Roglic looking like the favourites but final mountain TT will decide it. Jumbo are so strong Ineos have to find a new way to race, Yates in the mix without a team to back him up …
FDJ to sack Pinot as leader
Alaphillipe cracked
Race to be neutralised due to Covid when no Frenchman Is in the top 5 In the last week, but they ride on to finish in Paris due to tradition!
