I think @Jorgan has a good pick with Rolland here, and the fact he might be “allowed” to go over the first climb for the points seems to weigh up well.

That then leaves RogaCar to battle it out on the descent and up the next climb.
But Yates could also be looking to claw back time to drag himself onto the podium.

What about Uran?
Who is usually pretty good at altitude and has had a quiet tour so far, but has slowly been riding himself up the rankings…

Wonder if Bora will go for the intermediate today?

Will Ineos support Adam Yates now?

Yeah, Porte back as a super domestique.
I’d love to see him on the podium this year.
Shame he’s had years of bad luck

Right, ITV4 is now on…wonder if they’ll hit 44.5km by midday ish?

Loving the looks from the break after looking over their shoulder when they realise there’s only three got away

I’ve got so much to do today and this stage is not going to help things!!!

de Gendt

Obvs!

A huge 23 seconds up the road…

…look at that average speed :open_mouth:

exciting times so far…it won’t stick after the initial climb

Is that Alaphilipe in the break again? if so, when will the mechanical happen today?

Probably around the same time Dan Martin blows up as well
Jules is still entertaining, they’ve been ripping him to bits on the podcast and the GCN post race wrap up.

Quite funny (for dry cyclist humour)

So is this breakaway winning the stage or not?

No, they’ll be caught after, or just before, the first col.

ETA: I dunno now! Look at the gap, just growing and growing…

de Gendt has been sent back to chat Ewan all the way around.
Ewan is DEFFO keeping his powder dry to smash Paris…Bennett may be working too hard through these stages, might dull his sprint on the last couple of sprint stages?

They’ll be back and destroy everyone next year.SDB doesn’t like failing
