Stage 14 just looks odd - massive initial climb, then smaller and another smaller one before another downhill finish with a couple of lumps.

…proper looking forwards to that, as it’s very similar to my favourite local “climbs” Of Long Hill, Cat and Fiddle, Road to Skye (anything 6-10km at 6-8% I’m all over, love them!)
So if Yates is now in yellow, will he be allowed to disappear chasing the stage tomorrow? Surely, despite his (and his teams) continued protestations to not be chasing long term yellow, the big GC teams can’t afford to let him go. Another missed opp for a stage win at the tour? A master stroke by Alaphillipe to win tomorrow’s stage?

I really thought that final climb would ignite things a bit more. They all seem either wary or given that it’s early and they’re still fresh whoever is at the front is setting the pace too high
