Tdf2020 SPOILER ALERT!

Typical sprint stage. Although not even having a breakaway all day is very unusual. Can’t ever recall that on a bunch sprint day?

Still interesting as background tv, and helpful to not have been too intense having had quite a few calls this afternoon. They’re all done now, so can focus in on the final sprint!

Another 30 odd minutes to go.
Even the commentators are bored!

Yes, although things will start to ramp up from now. You can already begin to see some of the teams trying to get into position. And that always brings the risk of some carnage and crashes

Are you bored with Boulting and co?
Or listening to inane wine drivel on Eurosport?

I can’t decide what’s worse :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I tend to watch ITV. I quite like David Millar He’s close enough to his active career he gives proper insight into race dynamics. Sean Kelly is not my favourite. I quite like Carlton though … he has a better voice to get you on the edge of your seat

I also quite like Carlton, does seem to be a minority opinion though.

Millar is good.

Are any of the commentary teams actually at the race this year?

The Eurosport are all operating remotely. They had comms problems on day 1, so they could only hear Carlton Kirby in their London studio and he was just babbling on to himself for the first part of the broadcast. They had to draft Matt Stephens in to the London studio at short notice for everyone’s sake

Itv deffo at home as well.

Well…

What a lad!

The worlds slowest ever sprint :rofl::rofl:
Caleb is pissing me off now.
That’s two stages he’s dropped the ball.

Wow - picked the wrong captain. Had Ewan down and then my other team member Van Aert goes and takes it.

4th for Sagan as my captain. Had VA as well. But so do most people probably! :joy:

Yeah, weird. He had a lead out guy, and they both just sorta gave up. Neither of them ever seemed to actually try and open things up

He did that on Stage 1 as well, just threw his toys out of the pram.

I get why Sagan just rolls in, his sole aim is green.
That’s fine.

I’d (incorrectly!) assumed WvA would be a bit knackered for his awesome performances a few weeks ago :see_no_evil:

I had swapped out WvA for Ewan so that lost me a lot of points :expressionless:

Ouch!!!
@Memphisraines must be kicking himself for going with Bennett as captain :scream::see_no_evil:

Sagan doesn’t seem to have the legs for the big sprints this year. I think we’ll see him in every early breakaway now to hoover up as many intermediate sprint points as possible.

Uni mate in my friends league was 9th overall in the whole game yesterday. Now up to 8th. No idea how many people are in it in total (the game doesnt seem to say), but I’m in the 17 thousands, so it’s a pretty impressive feat

I didn’t know you could see that!!

Yep, wrong captain. Easily done.

But Sam-I-am, Sam-I-am, the green jersey gets, so I’m a happy man!

Overall - or for the stage???
That’s crazy good!
Not jealous at all :see_no_evil:

You do get 50 credits for signing people up, don’t you? So if you signed up loads of people you can get a shed load of transfers.

Time to drop WvA now folks!
That was his only stage win, he just said so.
Dropping back to domestique duties now.
Just like Alaphillipe not wanting yellow overall :rofl::rofl:
