The 2020 weigh-in thread

Started Lent as the mrs does it every year, so I’ve chosen crisps, chocolate and Alcohol. weighed in at 97kg yesterday morning, started the year at 95kg but mainly been In the gym building up and 5-6 days a week doing weights to build up the strength base as I never really did it before and found a new love for the gym side, needed to cut down on the beer as I found it was going from being weekends only to being every other day, and the stomach not losing any flab whilst the rest of me has toned up a fair bit.

so 43 days of no alcohol, snacks and gym 5 days a week whilst adding in running training should be fun.

Don’t you get 1 day off a week?

So 18 weeks out from my “A” race I’ve got to gain approx 3kg to hit his minimum ideal weight.

I eat a reasonably sensible diet, don’t really drink & do enjoy some crap. Over the last couple of months I’ve become MyProtein’s most valued customer in an effort to stave off the inevitable weight loss as my training ramps up.

Meh

Wondering if anybody knows how to sync weight metrics between apps (raining peaks, trainerroad, strava for me) if such a thing exists?

I don’t have a garmin branded set of scales which I assume might do this, but do use a Bluetooth set of scales from RENPHO. I don’t mind manually adding my weight to one of the apps above, as I don’t think RENPHO links to anything else, but annoying to have to link across all three apps.

Any tips on how to create some form of sync?

66.2 and now aiming for a sub 64. Finally got it all under control without having cardio (although that would be more enjoyable if wasn’t bloomin injured)

Don’t think you can GB…i’ve never found a way :frowning:

70.3 this morning from 77 odd start point in Jan. Would like to get a bit stronger now without too much more weight loss, maybe another 2kg max.

HealthFit iOS app will sync it all up to TrainingPeaks.

Epic for £2.99

68.0kg today so that’s the first target ticked off (0.5kg per week). Now to maintain weight and hopefully see that BF% number drop

A better week, 96.5kg (from 97.4 last week) but still room for improvement in both training and diet.

Off the wagon well and truly, back up to 87kg with possibly the worst weekend food/drink wise I have had in years, plus I have done something to my hip so can’t run, can still cycle but that seems to do nothing for keeping any weight off :disappointed:

Off to console myself with a cheese and bacon puff from our staff canteen… :grinning:

We all have moments like that, the trick is to not let them go on too long and just get back into normal routine.

Enjoy the puff

65.5kgs this AM, looking forward to a Saturday monthly (or is that 4 weekly hmmmmm) binge day. Bring it on.

Jesus…!?

I know your race is hilly… but could you get too light…!?

I’m holding at 70… ish

May drop a little more when we see the sun … if that ever happens …!?

Ha, well I looked at the NHS body mass index chart thingy, and it says for me at betwixt 5’7’’ and 5’8’’ about 59-60 seems to be the minimum limit for a healthy BMI.

It’s just an experiment!
