Had a huge run of hangings / bullying 5-8 years ago, it hasn’t got any better despite what the inspection reports would have you believe.

this would have been nearly 30 years back, probably still the same as then! I always thought it would be like a school playground, just with the countries biggest youth scumbags, not a fat bully and a few tough guys!

My wife did some temp office work there about 20 years ago. She said it wasn’t the nicest of places. I remember them telling her not to disclose anything about herself to any inmates - as they work together and will piece together info to work out anything and everything about you.

Sensible choice for minor scroats and idiots.
The big players have bent coppers, officers and other CJS players in there pockets.
The ones who don’t will gladly tell you that a private detective is £100 an hour, small change when your moving your cocaine in a van.
They will find out the basics in seconds
Name
Address
Family
Car reg
Etc.
Fortunately these people do seem to have a code and for them to harm or threaten you outside something “ personal “ would have had to occur the big big players I my seem to kill each other … thank god

As per the injury thread the person I saw is about a year younger than me, it’s actually his birthday today. Anyway, when I was there last week we were talking generally as we often do around sports etc. and he just offered up about the 50 turn point and how the muscle fibres start to deteriorate etc.
The main takeaway points were to start prioritising strength work and increasing protein intake. He’s a sports academic and well respected, does his research and speaks to a lot of people in the areas of interest, it’s always fascinating talking to him. Won various decent level races in the past as well, definitely a better athlete than I ever was or will be.

Given the way these delivery riders ride, presumably they get paid per delivery?
A teacher friend of mine spent his summer holiday riding as a cycle courier back in the late 90s. He reckoned you had to get in with the dispatchers because he was getting paid the same for a delivery whether it was just taking something around the corner or if it was from Canary Wharf to Heathrow
