Here it is being eaten by a Bougainville
I was gonna ask if the plastering was from the DIY thread…
Forgot this thread existed … might even have posted before.
However, have just completed a shed revamp and actually done some turboing.
I bought Clug for bike storage as both simple and cheap - I think hooks would probably be slightly more secure as the MTB clug for my son’s fat tyre is a bit loose and I suspect we’ll get the occasional fallen bike.
Before - not to bad I guess given some of the photos I just scrolled through
After. The best purchase was probably the LED lighting which has really brightened up the space. We had old fluorescent tubes before which took a age to blink on. It’s amazing how quickly yu get used to crappy solutions

Very tidy
I fitted a couple of batten led lights the other weekend as when I was on the turbo one of the old ones used to break into a helluva noisy hum. I had a walking stick next to my turbo which was used to whack it into momentary silence.
The silence nowadays is bliss, but the increased lumens have highlighted how much of a junkyard my garage has become. Always the way with DIY, one job leads to another
Sorry this is far too neat and tidy!
Very nice though
It’s always amazing how much improvement you get through a good tidy up … but it’s also fair to say we have a very large shed. We don’t have a garage though so this is it for storage.
The laptop shelf for the turbo folds against the wall but it’s so small that it probably will stay up most of the time.
Got the light from amazon for c£20, put one in the downstairs loo at the same time and now need shades to go in as it’s so bright - had to redecorate as it showed how grubby it was

If you did have some, then that would be an easy way to try them, especially given FB has put some questions in my mind over suitability! I’d only need one
Ping me your address and I can post some down.
@stenard I have used clugs a lot in the past, and similar to @fatbuddha found they would not always hold especially if tyres not fully pumped
However soon learnt that a small piece of velcro costing £0.20p or so behind the clug to hold the wheel in was an absolutely fine, cheap solution
Nice idea, thanks. I have a load of that that came with the padded packing when my Canyon was shipped. I’d saved those pieces to act as dividers between the various bikes when we moved, so still have them
I don;t use them anymore as no need but back in London I had 3 bikes that were all used regularly held up, and never had any issues after putting velcro on them!!
Congratson the new training facilities/house!
Must.Resist.
Yep. Baby grows, vests, hats, mittens, booties, nappies, creams, wipes, sleeping bags, spare sheets. Everything a baby needs and more!
Yep. Once you get married, you’re on standby!
Then it’s “when are you going to have a little brother or sister for them” 💁
Still with you 23yrs later.
I give him 18 months from when they tie the knot
We’ve already decided we’re not doing it (if we do have kids) in that rigid order. The backlog for weddings due to Covid is ridiculous. A lot of place are already filling up for 2023
When we bought the superexpensive whizz bang swivelling car seat for Little One, that lady in the shop said it was really robust and investment for when we had our next.
We looked at her like she had two heads and then burst out laughing!
Yes it’s like it’s the law! Alcohol does have a lot to answer for
